Glo Fiber Business Helps Mental Healthcare Provider Open Third Area Facility

Glo Fiber Business Win, April 21, 2025:  A Virginia-based provider of mental healthcare services has selected Glo Fiber Business’s Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) and PRI fiber business phone service for its newest office location in Bedford, VA. As an existing Glo Fiber Business customer, the practice uses both services at its other two Virginia locations in Lynchburg and Farmville. They currently employ more than 35 mental health professionals and administrative staff across three locations.

With a private all-fiber connection, DIA provides the speed, reliability, and security needed to deliver the secure online experience that healthcare providers and patients require. DIA also ensures that download and upload speeds remain equal and consistent, regardless of network traffic. The fast, reliable bandwidth is especially important as the use of telehealth counseling services continues to grow.

For voice communications, Glo Fiber Business’s Primary Rate Interface (PRI) service is an excellent complement to the DIA internet service. PRI uses a digital telephone line that connects each office location to the public-switched telephone network (PSTN). Unlike an analog phone line, a PRI line can simultaneously transmit 23 separate signal streams—voice, data, or video. Because not every employee will be using the PRI service at the same time, a single line is more than enough to support all three locations.

Both the DIA and PRI voice services are easily scalable. The practice can add additional DIA bandwidth (up to 100 Gbps) and more PRI lines to connect new facilities as it grows. The fact that they can continue working with the same account manager for all their internet data and voice services was crucial in the company’s decision to stay with Glo Fiber Business.

“This customer provides critical care across the communities it serves. Glo Fiber Business is proud to help support that effort by providing fast and reliable data and voice services, enabling staff and patients to connect when it matters most,”
said Glenn Lytle, SVP Commercial Sales for Glo Fiber Business.
