Local ISP Expands Glo Fiber Business Relationship to Connect Rural Ohio

Glo Fiber Business Win, July 21st, 2025: A fast growing internet service provider (ISP) has expanded its seven-year relationship with Glo Fiber Business, upgrading its Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) to 20 Gbps to support a growing network footprint across Southeastern Ohio. This significant upgrade enables the provider to do what most larger national carriers can’t or won’t: roll out critical fiber services to some of the most underserved and unserved communities.

Headquartered in Gallipolis, Ohio, the ISP has experienced rapid growth over the last year. In Q3 2024, they upgraded their existing DIA connection to 10 Gbps and added Glo Fiber Business’s Dark Fiber offering. The solution provided additional, unlit fiber capacity that could be activated on demand when network needs increased..

That additional capacity was brought  online several months later as the burgeoning network expanded into two new service areas in 2025. Now, with the upgrade to a larger 20 Gbps data pipe, the provider can offer customers fiber-fast internet using a blend of fixed and wireless technologies.

As a dedicated broadband solution, DIA provides a private connection for guaranteed speeds, increased bandwidth and consistent service level agreements (SLAs). The connection is proactively monitored and managed 24/7/365 by Glo Fiber Business’s secure Network Operations Center (NOC), ensuring maximum uptime, fast issue resolution, and added peace of mind for the provider.

Over the years, the partnership between the customer and Glo Fiber Business has evolved beyond a basic service agreement into a strategic, collaborative partnership.  The Glo Fiber Business account team works closely with the ISP’s management team to develop potential new fiber routes to support the customer’s expansion plans. Often this involves Glo Fiber Business sharing its geographic information systems (GIS) data with the customer to pre-plan the most efficient routes based on the terrain.

“At Glo Fiber Business, we believe in building long-term partnerships, not just delivering connectivity,”
said Glenn Lytle, SVP of Commercial Sales. “What began as a service relationship has evolved into a collaborative effort to support growth, extend critical infrastructure, and bring reliable internet to communities that need it most. We work side by side with our partners to develop scalable network strategies that make a real difference.”
