2025 was a year full of milestones for Glo Fiber Business and its parent company Shentel, marked not only by continued growth and innovation, but also by meaningful accolades from across the industry. From being named a top fiber internet provider to recognition for community engagement, each award we received this year reflects something bigger than a trophy or a headline. It represents the trust our customers place in us every day, the dedication and talent of our people at every level, and our unwavering commitment to strengthening the communities we serve. As we look back on this year’s achievements, we do so with gratitude and with a renewed sense of purpose for the work ahead. Here’s a look back at some of the achievements by Glo Fiber Business and Shentel.
 

• Superior Customer Satisfaction: Glo Fiber Business achieved an impressive 2024 Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 47.6 for its small-to-medium business segment, significantly above the industry average of 31. The strong score is attributed to high customer praise for the network's speed and reliability, as well as the company’s commitment to customer service.
  
  
• Shentel - 2025 Cablefax Top Ops Honoree — Work Culture Award: Each year, the Top Ops Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of leading cable operators across 15 categories. The Work Culture category celebrates organizations that work to improve the lives of their employees and foster an environment of connection among colleagues and with the company itself.
  
  
• Cablefax Top 100 - Ed McKay, EVP & COO, Shentel: The Cablefax Top 100 honors the most influential executives in the media, cable, and broadband industries. With more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry and over two decades at Shentel, Ed has been instrumental in leading our integrated broadband business. His leadership has driven the company’s growth and innovation providing better network quality and customer experience for our residential and commercial customers.
  
  
• Glo Fiber - Global Connectivity Awards Shortlist for Best Alternative Network Provider: The Global Connectivity Awards honour the best and brightest in the connectivity industry, celebrating innovation, achievement, and collaboration on a truly global stage.
  
  
• Glo FIber - Fiber Broadband Association Community Impact Award Finalist: The program recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions from across the fiber broadband industry. The Community Impact Award recognizes fiber broadband projects that are enabling communities and changing lives across North America.
  
  
• Glo Fiber - Fiber Broadband Association Light It Up Award Finalist: Light It Up recognizes teams that are working together to support community broadband fiber network expansion, including construction, planning, integration, and deployment.
  
  
• Glo Fiber - Broadband Communities Top 100 list: The 2025 Broadband Communities Top 100 includes companies, entities, and organizations making the biggest impacts this year. In May, Glo Fiber was able to double its number of residential and business passings in only 36 months, moving the needle from 330,000 passings to 600,000.
  
  
• Shentel - ACA Connect Community Champion: The 2025 Community Champions Contest recognizes ACA Connects members and their employees who are engaged and committed to the well-being of their customers in the areas where they live and work. During the spring months, the Shentel Summer Backpack Program allows employees to contribute funds in support of nutritional needs across our footprint. In 2025, Shentel employees donated $10,850 dollars to support a variety of organizations across six states. In support, the Shentel Foundation offered to donate a match to employee contributions of up to $10,000, allowing a total contribution of $20,850.
  
  
• Shentel - Nominee for Bedford Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards — Large Business of the Year: Each year, the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the accomplishments of its Excellence in Business Awards recipients. Shentel’s nomination is a testament to our belief that strong communities are built on strong connections. This demonstrates that our commitment to customer service and keeping our local residents, organizations, and businesses connected truly makes a difference.
